Couples Coaching

Fostering and maintaining a secure, fulfilling relationship is a challenging life journey. The relationship that we build with our partner is our greatest strength and, at time, our greatest source of sorrow.  At one point in time or another, couples struggle with their relationship.

In a safe, neutral and respectful setting we will work as a team to examine the “triggers” in the relationship.  The following are just some examples of the work we will be engaged in:

  • Communication
  • Division of labour
  • Bereavement
  • Finances
  • Extended family conflict
  • Transitions / change
  • Parenting styles
  • Parenting strategies
  • The empty nest years
  • Anger management
  • Understanding conflict
  • Solution focused conflict resolution
  • Romance
  • Intimacy

Family Coaching

The family is a complex system. When an individual member of a family system experiences change, stress or confusion, all other members of the family system respond according to their ability.  Family Coaching helps bring about understanding and resolution throughout all stages of the family.

Issues that are dealt with in family coaching are:

  • Family planning
  • Step and blended families
  • Single and lone families
  • Skip-generation families
  • Grandparents
  • The “sandwich generation”
  • Extended family challenges
  • Children and teens
  • Behaviour management strategies
  • Family meals
  • Children and sleep
  • Discipline versus punishment
  • Intrinsic versus extrinsic motivation
  • Parental involvement in education
  • Bereavement
  • Children and separation
  • Children and divorce
  • Parenting styles
  • Parenting strategies

Life Coaching

Life Coaching is a synergistic relationship between a client and a life coach that helps the client define their dilemma, develop goals, set action-based strategies and move forward. Clients participating in Life Coaching may be a bit stuck or want to make change; they seek knowledge, support, motivation and accountability during such a transition. In a safe, neutral and respectful setting we will work as a team to examine what areas you want to move forward in.

The following are examples of the work we could engage in:

  • Setting and achieving goals and objectives
  • Life after a diagnoses of a chronic medical condition
  • Caregiver burnout
  • Getting out of a rut
  • Making an important life transition
  • Living an ideal life
  • Identifying core values and passions
  • Fulfilling personal and emotional needs
  • Planning – business, career and life
  • Blasting through blocks and fears
  • Clearing clutter
  • Balancing business and personal life
  • Making key decisions and designing strategies for success
  • Building powerful relationships
  • Developing an ideal family or love relationship
  • Getting organized
  • Having time to enjoy life
  • Playing, having adventures, and a lot more fun
