Osteopathy Osteopathy | Osteopathic Manual Practitioner | Hours | Rates

Osteopathy is based on the philosophy that the human body has a virtually limitless capacity to heal and repair itself when it is functioning optimally. The goal of the Osteopathic Manual Practitioner is, through highly developed palpation skills, to find and release any restrictions or barriers to the healing process. A complete history and full assessment is performed to determine the cause of the symptoms and the osteopathic treatment addresses all elements of the body including bones, joints, soft tissues, organs, fluids and the cranial system. Anyone can benefit from osteopathic treatment including children of all ages, pregnant women, accident victims, athletes, the chronically ill and seniors.

Some of the more common conditions treated by osteopathy include:
  • Chronic or acute pain (articular, muscular, neurological)
  • Injuries (motor vehicle, sports, work)
  • Post-surgery pain
  • Visceral or organic troubles (circulatory, digestive, gynaecological, respiratory, etc.)
  • Neonatal and infant problems
  • Headaches, migraines
  • Insomnia
  • Temperal mandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction
  • Stress
