With the 2026 Winter Olympics drawing (sorry, too much curling) to a close, we toast (Italy is, after all, the land of all things food and drink) the success of the Canadian Olympic team with our own Winter Games, the Snow Shovel version.

The Snow Shovel Games include the following events:

• Sledding – pushing the snow off your property
• Ice Dance – keeping your balance on compacted icy snow as you dance with your shovel
• Lifting – shovelling and more shovelling
• Combined – a combination of the above
